Research Guidelines
READ CAREFULLY!

Many times in this class you will be looking for historical research. I will ask you frequently to “prove that this passage is historically accurate.” For most of you, going to the internet is the fastest way to determine that. I have a few NEW guidelines for internet research.

1. You may NOT cite a blog, a teacher’s page, WIKIPEDIA, yahoo!answers, or any other non-expert source.

2. YOU MUST document the source properly within your paper and as a WORKS CITED listing.

3. All of your research info must be set up in MLA format. All of the rules for writing apply. Even though it isn’t an essay, I expect it to be grammatically and mechanically correct. Yes, you can number your answers and use bullet format on occasion, but the writing still must be correct.
